I’ve been listening to the “Physics for Future Presidents” Lecture Series and was amused to hear Prof. Muller state that while he does watch SF movies and can reconcile most of them with existing scientific theories, he simply could not wrap his head around “The Core” – which as I remembered, won the award for worst movie physics ever. PS: I highly recommend the lecture series – it’s entertaining and a great introduction to critical scientific thinking about recent developments, without requiring the listener to have a science background. iTunes link here.

It struck me that the amount of content that we publish about our lives today on the web is simply staggering.
We write down our bigger ideas and thoughts in blogs, twitter the random everyday things, link to the things we like, take photos of places and things we see, converse with friends on social networks and record all the conversations that we have about these in Instant Messenger logs.
It seems to me in our own unplanned, chaotic and sometimes unreliable fashion, we have brought to life the Akashic records of Hindu philosophy – a record of all human knowledge and experiences.
I’ve just realized that for some time now, I’ve been making a new post to this blog about once a month.
It’s almost as if just as this blog appears to be dying a painless natural death – I come along and drag out it’s agony a little further 
I have to do better!
Oh btw, the last post on Orkut was the 100th post on the blog.. heh, I actually made it this far – I surprise myself
Well since I’ve finally begun adding to my game collection again, I’ve crossed the 50 game mark – woo hoo! 
And that means I now qualify as PC aficionado as per Gamespot .. check it out:

Well I’ve finally managed to catch up on my backlog of links to post, so I went back to all my Geek News sites today after a fairly long break. And I actually managed to stop at Page 3 of Digg
Fresh links tonight in my blog – woo
Not that anyone missed me , but I have been pretty tardy in posting stuff on the blog.
Work has been pretty bad these last few days but I think I should be getting caught up to some extent today (and till tomorrow).
The main way I plan to get caught up on my backlog of posts (no, not this one); mostly my daily links, is that I will not be visiting any of my favourite Geek News sites till I get all my saved sessions (using SessionSaver) posted.
And then I have to remember to stop clicking on the next page in Digg till I see a story I recognize and say to myself “Ah, I’ve gone through all the stories that have been posted since I last read Digg”
