Not even Prof. Muller can save you now
I’ve been listening to the “Physics for Future Presidents” Lecture Series and was amused to hear Prof. Muller state that while he does watch SF movies and can reconcile most of them with existing scientific theories, he simply could not wrap his head around “The Core” – which as I remembered, won the award for worst movie physics ever. You can read about other movie physics offenders here.
PS: I highly recommend the lecture series – it’s entertaining and a great introduction to critical scientific thinking about recent developments, without requiring the listener to have a science background. iTunes link here.

I’ve seen The Core. It was so bad, I made a parody while writing its movie review.

I’ve seen the movie too and although some of it seemed unrealistic, it didn’t seem any worse than other Hollywood Summer movies.. Obviously, I stand corrected
